Biography

Delfina Ramos has a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering. University of Minho, with the thesis entitled “Cost-Benefit Analysis in Occupational Risk Assessment". Delfina Ramos is also Professor Honoris Causa of University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. Professor at Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) and Polytechnic Institute of Management and Technology (ISLA). Lectures in the area of Occupational Health and Safety in BSc and MSc Courses in the area of Engineering and of Management Systems. Researcher Member of Ergonomics & Human Factors research group at University of Minho. Research Member of the IEM R&D Line Algoritmi Centre, School of Engineering, University of Minho, Guimarães, Portugal. Research work focuses in Occupational Health and Safety. Author of several publications in international journals and book chapters in these domains. Collaborating as a reviewer with one international peer-reviewed scientific journals in the domain of Occupational Health and Safety. Member of the Editorial Board of Global Journal of Health Science. Member of Scientific Comittee of several International Conferences. IRCA Certified Coordinator Auditor. Occupational Health and Safety Area (OHSAS 18001). Member of group of auditors of SGS Certification SGS ICS - International Services of Certification, Lda. Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001) and Quality (ISO 9001) area. Certified Health and Safety High Technician. Senior member of the Professional Association of Engineers of Portugal. Member of the Evaluation Board of Internships of the College of Chemical and Biological Engineering. Member of CT194 (Technical Commission for the Standardization of Nanotechnologies - SC4 - Health, Safety and Environment) of the Portuguese Quality Institute (IPQ) representing ESTIPCA.
